Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mrs. Gina M. Fraga has first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by many immigrant families as her father fled Cuba’s communism. She is a double-Gator as she obtained a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Florida and was later awarded a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the same institution. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida by the Florida Supreme Court and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Southern District Court of Florida. Since 2007, Mrs. Fraga has focused her legal career in the complex and ever-changing field of Immigration Law. She is a Partner at Acosta & Fraga Law, P.L.L.C. where she handles a heavy case load in areas such as deportation defense, family immigration, business immigration and equestrian-related immigration visas, among others. Mrs. Fraga is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and in this capacity serves as Chair to the AILA South Florida West Palm Beach USCIS Committee (2018-2019) and as a member to the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee. She also participates as a Board member of the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association (2019) and is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. She is passionate about providing pro bono legal representation to children and women who are the victims of abuse or neglect and serves her community by providing countless pro-bono hours to charitable organizations including: Americans for Immigrant Justice, the Legal Aid Society of PBC and the Guatemalan-Maya Center in Lake Worth, Florida. In addition to managing a heavy caseload, a law practice with two satellite offices and serving as a volunteer in the above-mentioned capacities, Mrs. Fraga's hardest job is being a mother to a very active little boy. In her spare time, she enjoys going back "home" to Puerto Rico and recharging at the beach.
